2008 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships
November 8, 2008 (Clearwater, FL) – Americans Joanna Zeiger, Mary Beth Ellis and Becky Lavelle finished 1-2-3 at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Clearwater, Florida, on Saturday. Andy Potts was the top U.S. man in sixth.
Zeiger, of Boulder, continues a stellar season after winning the USAT Elite Long Course National Championships on June 8, as well as the 5430 Long Course Triathlon on August 10. Potts, of Colorado Springs, also claimed the title of the first American finisher among the men at this year’s IRONMAN World Championships in Kona.
