Several Coloradans Earn USAT Elite Triathlete of the Year Honors

Josiah Middaugh (Vail, Colo.) was named 2014 Off-Road Triathlete of the Year by USA Triathlon. Middaugh won the XTERRA Mountain, Southeast and West Championships, and finished second overall and as the first American at XTERRA USA Championship and XTERRA World Championship.

USATNon-Drafting Athlete of the Year accolades went to Ben Hoffman (Boulder, Colo.). Hoffman earned podium finishes at six events throughout the year, highlighted by the IRONMAN World Championship, where his second-place finish was the best for an American since 2009.

Avery Evenson of Colorado Springs was named a junior elite All-American for women ages 16-19. Eli Hemming of Kiowa was named a junior elite All-American for men 16-19, while Max Bennet of Parker receied honorable mention.

Devon Kroeker of Colorado Springs was named a youth elite All-American for girls ages 13-15. Drew Sotebeer of Parker received honorable mention for youth boys ages 13-15.
