Evacuation from Waldo Canyon Fire

June 28, 2012 (Colorado Springs, CO) — The USA Triathlon National Office is currently under mandatory evacuation due to the tragic Waldo Canyon Fire. As a result, our office will be closed until further notice.

The fire has impacted our entire home city, including many USA Triathlon staff members who have been evacuated from their homes along with more than 32,000 Colorado Springs residents. Fortunately, no injuries, or loss of life, have been reported. Where applicable, USA Triathlon staff members are working remotely in an attempt to conduct normal business operations. Thank you for your patience as our staff works diligently to prioritize pressing matters and continues to service our varied constituent groups.

We appreciate the outpouring of support and empathy from our valued USA Triathlon members, the Olympic Movement and multisport enthusiasts nationwide. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Colorado Springs community, particularly individuals—including our own staff members—who may have lost their homes.
